Los Angeles, California
A hint of Los Angeles skyline with all the beauty of the a sunny California day made this Los Angeles Temple Wedding so perfect. We had a great time spending the day with this beautiful couple. Dedria and Shane are such a wonderful couple. We were able to help capture all the love and wonderful memories that they got to shared with friends, family, and each other on their wedding day. Do not forget those adorable dogs of theirs! It was so special to be able to capture the candid moments of the couple greeting their family and friends as they emerged from the temple. This unique Los Angeles temple wedding had beautiful plants and flowers, including those amazing olive trees. In addition, they were surround by the hustle and bustle of the city and the view of tall skyscrapers in the background.
The Los Angeles temple wedding was not the only thing that was incredible that day. Just when you thought the views in the morning were breathtaking the reception had its own share of beauty. The private home came complete with classic Ford motorcars and doughnuts. Also, can we take a moment to take about the food? Their food trucks had both delicious sliders and fusion street tacos that came with everything from carnitas to salmon. These food trucks provided guest with all you can eat, and the guests were grabbing these things so fast. Needless to say, no one from that wedding was going home hungry. The reception came to a conclusion by sending the bride and groom off through a tunnel of bubbles. Unknown to the guests however, we snuck in a few last shots at the top of the hill.
Look at these giant puppies! They two greeted us with such excitement even though they were not the most cooperative of subjects.
Such an unique idea for desserts on your wedding day. You can still have a little slice of traditional with a small cake. But when you are done, really go all out with a smorgasbord of gourmet donuts.
Hurry and toss that bouquet! Once you do, grab a slider. Because no bride should go hungry on her wedding day.
CAMARILLO, CALIFORNIA
We absolutely love capturing this sweet couple, Vincent and Megan, and all the special moments they shared with their friends and family on their big day at their McCormick Ranch Wedding. It brings us such joy when we get the opportunity to create memories for a couple like Megan and Vincent. They have so much love for one another that you can feel just being around them. We couldn’t help but smile, and maybe tear up a little, while putting their highlight reel together. As if this couple wasn’t already sweet enough, they included little jars of honey for their guest to take and enjoy.
This day was the perfect excuse to break out our new drone to capture the beautiful landscape and house that this McCormick Ranch Wedding had to offer. This southern California venue was the perfect place to bring their rustic wedding to life. Amazing details like Wagon wheels, wooden center pieces and the sweet florals brought their story together. Every aspect of this wedding, even down to the wedding dances, captured the adorable and fun loving nature of Vincent and Megan.
It does not get much better than this card and gift table. Look at the wonderful gifts in this miniature wagon.
Doesn’t this wagon full of desserts make your mouth water. This is definitely a wagon ride I would love to take. If you enjoyed this dessert table make sure you also check out this awesome display of donuts at the Los Angles Temple wedding.
The love this couple shows for one another makes our hearts melt. Just look at the adorable smile Megan has on her face right before she kisses her new husband. Nothing is better then getting to capture two people that love in a way that they will cherish forever.
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA
The beautiful color scheme of greens and whites went along perfectly with this Calamigos Ranch Malibu Wedding. The venue was surround with trees that had lights that draped from their branches. The couple put lots of love and attention in all the details of their wedding from the invitations, that were provided by minted, to the personalized hockey puck groomsmen gifts. Not to mention the guest got to take home their very own potted plants. Brenna and Cary truly thought of everything, which made all the details of their wedding have a cohesive look.
This Calamigos Ranch Malibu Wedding was filled with lots love. Typically a bride and groom do not see each other on their wedding day until they meet at the alter. However, unlike most couples, Brenna and Cary spent most of their wedding day together. Once Brenna was in her dress, Cary had to wait until his new father-in-law walked her down the isle. Cary was finishing up the seat chart cards while sitting next to his beautiful bride as she got her makeup done. We loved being able to capture all the wonderful memories of this couple as they went through their wedding day together.
Perfect color palettes and amazing light make for such perfect memories. For instance, the picture below, which is one of our favorite shots ever!
Being the film nerds we are, we loved that our couple provided their guest with a instax film camera to take photos of themselves for their guest book. It’s such a unique touch to be able to have pictures of your guest instead just their names.
Can you say wow! Is this wedding cake not incredible. It is definitely not your typical run of the mill wedding cake. This is what we mean when Brenna and Cary put a lot of love and attention into the details of their wedding. The design on the cake seamlessly matches their innovations perfectly. It also adds a unique feel and look with the blue and green rock candy geode.

Agoura Hills, California
Cassidy and Russell wanted some beautiful pictures done in California for their Agoura wedding portraits. Only a week prior, they were married in Utah before making the trip down for their reception. In addition, Cassidy’s family lives in Southern California. So we met up with these two before their open house reception to take some shots in the open fields hidden in the hills. You could forget your rock and roll, it was all country side. What was there not to love between the fields of gold and flower crown?
We decided to find these wonderful oak trees hidden in the back trails to get the perfect scenery for these Old Agoura wedding portraits. In addition, you cannot see the trails from the main road. The locals consider this a hidden gem. It was a perfectly sunny day in California with some gorgeous lighting. The California light peeked through the trees while it was setting behind the hills. The setting was a fantastic backdrop that really made Cassidy’s bouquet of red and yellow flowers pop.
Cassidy is all about family, so when it came to her big day her sisters were right by her side ready to lend a helping hand. They did Cassidy’s hair and makeup by adding in a braid to compliment her flower crown and giving her makeup a more natural look that truly made this bride glow.
Real moments are always the ones that end up being our favorites. Nothing posed, just two people that love each other being who they are. As you can see, posing can never beat real emotion of a bride and groom.
Sometimes it requires a little extra work by our amazing couples to get the shots we are looking for. There are a million thistles in the fields of Old Agoura. While pretty, these thistles get into everything. Everyone had quite a few in their clothing by the end, but it was worth it.

Santa Barbara, California
Recently we got the opportunity to team up with Crunchies Natural Food to put together a Santa Barbara lifestyle photoshoot. We found ourselves tucked away in the hills at the beautiful Riviera Cottage. This wonderfully put together home was the perfect backdrop with its rustic copper ware and most noteworthy antique kitchen design. We came up with three food recipes and finally one beverage for the campaign. These included breakfast dishes like Strawberry Banana Pancakes (recipe below in post), a hearty fall recipe of a Thanksgiving Sandwich (to do something unique and different with all those leftovers), and to wash it all down a colorful Blueberry Lavender Lemonade. The pictures almost jump onto your taste buds. We can tell you from experience, everything tastes as good as it looks.
We enjoy cooking as much as eating, so putting this together was so much fun for us. Our couple, Britney and Michael, also had a blast learning some new recipes and the big hit was those Pancakes made from scratch with Real Maple Syrup! The antique stove along with cast iron pans made this Santa Barbara lifestyle shoot that much more unique and wonderfully tasty too. Our personal favorite was the Lemonade. Who would have thought that Lavender would be such an amazing addition to the purple and blue hues of the blueberry. Yum!
2 cups all-purpose flour
4 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1 package of freeze-dried fruit crushed (we had strawberry banana)
1 1/2 cups buttermilk
1 cup heavy cream
2 eggs
4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
1 zest of a lemon and half the juice
Whisk dry ingredients together. Make a well and pour in the rest of the ingredients. Whisk together until everything is together but not over beaten, there should still be lumps.
On a heated skillet with brushed canola oil, cook each side until lightly browned. Keep in heated oven on low heat until ready to eat. Top with extra butter and real maple syrup.
We love the look of copper on film. These adorable containers with flour and sugar gave us some of our basic ingredients for our homemade pancakes. Breakfast is good for anytime of day!
Here comes the lavender lemonade. It reminds us of a wedding we got be a part of Kestrel Park. Lavender is a popular flower found at many venues in Southern California. So smelling it in this sugary summer drink takes us back to some of those wonderful venues.
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
This Las Vegas Country Club Wedding was full of love, friends, family, fun, and you can’t forget the beautiful backdrop of the Vegas strip. It was definitely a wonderful and unique scene that made this wedding extra special. As much as we love our Southern California weddings, it is always a fun experience for us to shoot somewhere different, especially when our bride and groom have fallen head or heels for their wedding venue.
At the Las Vegas Country Club Wedding Danielle and Chris wanted to make sure their guest were entertained in true Vegas fashion with a surprise dance performance by professional dancers to the song Despetico, as well as a dance performance by the bride herself with her backup dancer bridesmaids. Although this wedding was full of an array of brightly colored florals from the center pieces to bridesmaids bouquets as you can see Danielle wanted to make sure she stood out on her big day and boy did she with the gorgeous ball gown and all white bouquet.
We absolutely love how these bright and boldly color flowers pop on their black invitations. It’s not everyday that you come across black invitations, so we definitely had to give them center of attention in this photo.
We all know how brides love to accessorize, but we can’t forget about the groom. Check out Chris sporting this awesome watch for his big day.
Such a sweet moment that was shared between the bride and her bridesmaids after seeing their beloved friend in her dress for the first time.
This was such a great idea Danielle had to keep her dress a surprise from her bridesmaid until the big day. It was is much fun the be able to be apart of the awesome moment to capture it all. Their faces were priceless.
